1. Eligibility
The “Unbirthday Celebration” giveaway (“The Sweepstakes”) is open to legal residents of the United States and Europe who are at least eighteen years old at the time of entry. The Sweepstakes is subject to federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
2. Sponsor
The Sweepstakes is sponsored by Cortopia Studios (“The Sponsor”).
3. Agreement to Official Rules
Participation in The Sweepstakes constitutes the entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding. Winning a prize is contingent upon being compliant with these Official Rules and fulfilling all other requirements set forth herein.
4. Sweepstakes Period
The Sweepstakes begins at 12:00:000 AM EDT on March 20, 2020 and ends at 11:59:59 AM EDT on March 26, 2020. There is a limit of one entry per person per day. Each day has a new prize or set of prizes and at least one new winner. The period for the daily prize(s) begins at 12:00:00 AM EDT each day and ends at 11:59:59 PM EDT the same day, with the exception of the final day (March 26th), which ends at 11:59:59 AM EDT. Each valid daily entry also counts as an entry for the grand prize (an Oculus Quest VR headset).
5. How to Enter
To enter The Sweepstakes, you must:
A) On Facebook: Share the daily giveaway post publicly, comment on the daily giveaway post, and like the daily giveaway post.
or
B) On Twitter: Retweet the daily giveaway tweet, like the daily giveaway tweet, and follow @CortopiaStudios on Twitter.
Fulfilling all three conditions of either A or B is required for an entry to be valid.
A valid entry counts as one entry for that day’s prize and as one entry for the grand prize. Each person can enter once per day for the duration of the Sweepstakes. Only one entry per person per day is allowed. One person can have a maximum of seven entries counted towards the grand prize (one entry per day over the duration of The Sweepstakes).
6. Selecting a Winner
The daily winner(s) will be chosen randomly by the Sponsor from the list of that day’s qualified entrants. The winner(s) will be selected and contacted within 24 hours of the prize period ending. The odds of being selected depend on the number of entries received.
The grand prize winner will be chosen randomly by the Sponsor from the list of all qualified entries received throughout the entire sweepstakes period. The grand prize winner will be selected and contacted within 24 hours of the sweepstakes period ending. The odds of being selected depend on the number of entries received.
7. Winner Notification
After being contacted by the Sponsor, the winner must reply within two days (48 hours). If the winner fails to reply to the Sponsor within the required time period, or if the winner does not fulfill the aforementioned requirements, the winner forfeits the prize. Prizes will be fulfilled approximately 4-8 weeks after the conclusion of The Sweepstakes.
8. General Conditions
In the event that the operation, security, or administration of The Sweepstakes is impaired in any way for any reason, including, but not limited to fraud, virus, bugs, or other technical problem, or in the event the Sweepstakes is unable to run as planned for any other reason, as determined by the Sponsor in its sole discretion, the Sponsor may suspend the Sweepstakes to address the issue or terminate the Sweepstakes and aware the prizes at random among eligible, non-suspect entries received. The Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or operation of the Sweepstakes or to be acting in violation of these Official Rules or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner. Any attempt by any person to undermine the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes may be in violation of criminal and civil law, and should such an attempt be made, the Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages (including attorney’s fees) and any other remedies for any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law.
9. Release and Limitations of Liability
By entering you agree to release and hold harmless The Sponsor and its subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, partners, representatives, agents, successors, assigns, employees, officers and directors from any liability, illness, injury, death, loss, litigation, claim or damage that may occur, directly or indirectly, whether caused by negligence or not, from (i) such entrant’s participation in the Sweepstakes and/or his/her acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of any prize or any portion thereof, (ii) technical failures of any kind, including but not limited to the malfunctioning of any computer, cable, network, hardware or software; (iii) the unavailability or inaccessibility of any transmissions or telephone or Internet service; (iv) unauthorized human intervention in any part of the entry process or the Promotion; (v) electronic or human error which may occur in the administration of the Promotion or the processing of entries.
10. Disputes
THIS SWEEPSTAKES IS GOVERNED BY THE LAWS OF SWEDEN, WITHOUT RESPECT TO CONFLICT OF LAW DOCTRINES. As a condition of participating in this Sweepstakes, participant agrees that any and all disputes which cannot be resolved between the parties, and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Sweepstakes, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, exclusively before a court located in Stockholm, Sweden having jurisdiction. Further, in any such dispute, under no circumstances will participant be permitted to obtain awards for, and hereby waives all rights to claim punitive, incidental, or consequential damages, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, other than participant’s actual out-of-pocket expenses (i.e. costs associated with entering this Sweepstakes), and participant further waives all rights to have damages multiplied or increased.
11. Prize Delivery
The Sponsor is not responsible for any customs fees, taxes, or other costs due upon delivery of the prize. In the event that a prize is returned undeliverable, the winner forfeits the prize.
